A winery, a wine
We are winemakers with 36 years of experience in La Rioja. VALENCISO was born in 1998 when we, Luis Valentín and Carmen Enciso, united our surnames, to produce a single wine in the winery of our dreams in La Rioja Alta, where we originate from. With the know-how and international vision acquired after 15 years of shared work in the management of a prestigious Rioja Alavesa winery.
In a winery, the most important thing is the vineyard. We cultivate payments in La Rioja Alta, in Ollauri, Briones, Haro, Rodezno, Gimileo, Zarratón and Villalba.
They are all high up, between 480 and 610 meters, on calcareous-clay soil that favours the acidity and finesse of northern Tempranillo.
