Acquired by Ernest SAUVION in 1935, Château du Cléray-Sauvion is, with its old vaulted cellars, one of the oldest properties in the vineyards of Sèvre et Maine.
It extends over 95 hectares, planted mainly with Muscadet Sèvre & Maine, but also Gros-Plant, Chardonnay and Sauvignon.
The soils are silico-clayey, rather late but rich terroir, with high aging potential.
